Using activated charcoal as a medicinal agent dates back to 1550 BC and is commonly used to treat poisonings, preventing their absorption into the body. Charcoal is still used in hospitals today, most commonly for alcohol and other poisonings.
Our product has all the absorption benefits of activated charcoal, but while charcoal can be abrasive in the long run, Hemp charcoal has the property of being very soft, making it suitable for regular internal use.
Suitable for :
– Human ingestion for toxin and poison removal (Household chemicals, ingested medicines, body toxins, alcohol)
– Teeth whitening
– Bad breath
– Poultices for insect and spider bites
– Face masks
Direction of use
For toxin removal
Mix 1-2 teaspoons of activated charcoal with water and drink quickly. It is most effective if ingested within 30min of poison ingestion. It is a great first treatment for any kind of poisoning, but should not be taken within several hours of medications (or even vitamins) that DO need to be absorbed. This dose can be repeated up to 3 times a day until symptoms of food poisoning or other poison are gone.
For teeth whitening and bad breath
Dip a clean, wet toothbrush into the powdered charcoal and put in the mouth. Brush in small gentle circles for 2 minutes, then swish in mouth for another minute before spitting out. Keep in mind that the longer you keep charcoal in your mouth, the more effective it will be.
Super fine Hemp Charcoal is also effective against bad breath, as charcoal also absorbs harmful bacteria that are cause to bad breath and cavities.
Mix Super fine Hemp Charcoal with linseed flour, add water to make a paste and apply on cloth against skin. Effective by alternating with baking soda and plantain powder.
Charcoal should not be ingested regularly, as it can cause constipation and block mineral absorption if it is not needed. Also, it canít be mixed with dairy products or many foods, as they lower its effectiveness.
Important note: If you have to take charcoal, make sure to drink a lot of water as it can cause dehydration if taken in large doses!
