Biochar Stoves

With help from the Mens Shed we created the Biochar Stumpy Stove, a fantastic permaculture device that allows people in poorer countries to cook using less water while making biochar as a by-product.

It is fully insulated so you don't get burns and injuries from kids falling into fireplaces.

It's fabulous modular device made from emptied spent gas cylinders and is now being manufactured by men's sheds in Brisbane and sent to Vanuatu and West Africa.

Note: The stoves are no longer painted as seen in the photo due to toxic fumes burning off when used.
